Key Responsibilities

At Oliver Wyman, I was part of a dynamic team of over ten professionals, including consultants, actuarial consultants, partners, principals, and several outsourcing staff, as well as direct interaction with the client. This cross-functional project was aimed at enhancing the client's compliance with regulatory standards through the adoption of Solvency II internal models.

My contributions included facilitating client adoption of these models, which significantly improved the product’s alignment with regulatory requirements and addressed client needs for capital requirement solutions. I collaborated within a small, specialized team to develop tailored sensitivity analyses using Python, which were crucial in evaluating model performance and ensuring the maintenance of a Solvency Capital Requirement ratio above 200%.

Furthermore, my role involved conducting in-depth analysis on spread bonds, highlighting key risk exposures. This analysis contributed to a 4% improvement in the client’s overall investment strategy and capital allocation decisions, underscoring the project’s success and the impactful nature of our team's work.

Founded in 2011, V-Nova focuses on the development of advanced compression technologies using artificial intelligence and parallel processing. Their solutions span various applications including video streaming, media, entertainment, and more, aiming to optimize data handling and improve efficiency across different platforms. The company is recognized for its pioneering software products, notably the V-Nova LCEVC and V-Nova VC-6. The former, LCEVC, enhances video stream encoding and decoding, enabling better performance at reduced complexities. Meanwhile, VC-6 targets professional production workflows and imaging applications. V-Nova's innovative efforts have been cemented with international standards, such as their contributions to the MPEG-5 Part 2, and their technology has received multiple awards for its impact on the industry.

Key Responsibilities

At V-Nova Ltd., I was deeply involved in a pivotal project collaborating with Intel and Meta to integrate LCEVC with SVT-AV1. This collaboration resulted in a 40% reduction in computational load and extended smoother playback capabilities to 30% more devices.

My responsibilities also included conducting a comprehensive analysis of power consumption on Android devices, which led to a 50% reduction in decoding power usage through advanced codec optimization and more efficient use of hardware acceleration. The success of these optimizations contributed significantly to the energy efficiency of video applications.
